It was a brilliant maneuver - New England was prepped for a Hail Mary, but Miami opted for a dump-and-lateral showpiece.

Everyone at Hard Rock Stadium and across the nation is still flabbergasted at what happened on the final play between the Dolphins and Patriots.

Their freaky last-play loss to the Miami Dolphins cost the Patriots a chance to clinch the AFC East until at least next week and muddied the playoff picture for the entire AFC.

Down 28-34 with 0:07 left to play, QB Ryan Tannehill threw a pass down the middle to WR Kenny Stills. After dancing with the ball for a second, Stills lateraled to fellow receiver DeVante Parker.

Drake reached the endzone as time expired, preventing Tom Brady from coming back and trying anything.

Despite the incredible play that changed it all - a 69-yard hook-and-ladder touchdown by Kenyan Drake - there were five takeaways that were deemed noteworthy based on how the game played out. In fact, New England quarterback Tom Brady is just 7-9 on the road against the Dolphins in his illustrious career, more losses than he has endured in any other National Football League venue.
