Prosecutors said that Westmoreland used a dating app to arrange a meeting with a 13-year-old.

Utah police have alleged that the actor sent pornographic photos, and asked the minor to engage in sexual acts with him and send nude photos.

Westmoreland was arrested after taking a ride-sharing service to a designated address in Salt Lake City "in order to pick up the person who he believed to be 13 years old and take back to his hotel room in order to engage in sexual activity", the probable cause statement says.

Westmoreland was a star on the Disney Channel sitcom Andi Mack, where he played the title character's grandfather.

According to the SLPD rep, Westmoreland meant to take the teen back to a hotel room for sex, but he was arrested by Vice and charged with four counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor and one count enticing a minor by internet or text.

The 48-year-old plays the grandfather of a teenage girl in the popular show, but he's now been fired from his role.

Following the reports, a spokesperson for Disney Channel confirmed he had been fired. He was arrested by the Salt Lake City Police Department and FBI Child Exploitation Task Force while allegedly en route to meet the minor.

Westmoreland was charged with enticing a minor by Internet or text, which is a second-degree felony, as well as four counts of dealing in materials harmful to minors, which is a third-degree felony.

He has also worked on popular series such as Better Call Saul and Scandal, in which he appeared on eight episodes in 2013.

Westmoreland was born in Tennessee, went to North Carolina School of the Arts, and now lives in Los Angeles. Just before her 13th birthday, Andi learns that her older sister, Bex, is actually her mother.
