The games we'll see added in January are now unknown. It seems impossible but Reggie is still very confident about it. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Fils-Aime was asked whether Red Dead Redemption 2 is something that the company would be interested in having on Switch, and his response is perhaps more telling than you might expect.

Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aimé sat down with Forbes to talk about the state of the Switch going into the 2018 holiday season, offering details on Nintendo's goal of moving 20 million systems this year and how current software is selling in the process. With stock numbers slipping and naysayers claiming Switch has lost its momentum, Nintendo is banking on huge holiday sales numbers. Ultimate. That Black Friday through Cyber Monday time frame was critically important to us, the remaining shopping days now through Christmas are critically important to us.

"So right now, the current execution of Nintendo Switch with the Joy-Con and all of the capabilities, that's our focus right now".

The only reason Rockstar's cowboy classic isn't on the Switch is because of bad timing, or at least that's what Nintendo says. It's a big task but definitely a possibility for Nintendo.

So first, in terms of traditional attach rate, the Nintendo Switch is performing at historic levels. There's also a little surprise with a Dr. Mario and Metroid getting an "SP" version which some changes.

"We'd love for (Red Dead) to be there", stated Fils-Aime. "And we've never seen 50 percent attach rates to begin with and seeing that across three different games coming up on to our second holiday is completely unheard of". "So many, many games that are just launching were well in development before any conversations were had with these developers regarding Nintendo Switch".
