Michy Batshuayi to return to Chelsea as Valencia loan cut short

The Belgian striker was taken on-loan from Stamford Bridge in the summer after the World Cup with Valencia trying to aim as high as possible in the league.

With that in mind, Valencia is looking to overhaul some of their squad in January with Mich being one of the significant casualties of the shake-up.

The Belgium global has scored only three goals in 23 appearances for Valencia in all competitions this season.

Michy Batshuayi's time at Valencia is coming to an end.

Valencia sporting director Mateu Alemany said there is plenty of interest in the Belgian worldwide.

"Batshuayi's situation is very clear", Alemany said on Thursday.

We are expecting an exit in the next few hours or days'.

'The player knows and we hope to reach a solution soon for the good of all parties.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea from Marseille for £33million in July 2016, becoming the first signing in Antonio Conte's reign. "He is leaving and it's now a matter of negotiation". Marco Silva's need for a striker is well documented.

Everton would have to purchase Batshuayi, who has two-and-a-half years left on his Blues contract, on a permanent deal, as they already have defender Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea.
