West Ham tell Arnautovic to honour contract

Marko Arnautovic wants West Ham to accept the £35 million offer on the table from a Chinese Super League team, that's according to the striker's agent, but the club have no interest in selling him. The offer is reported to include astronomical wages that would be very hard for the player to turn down.

"West Ham bought Marko for peanuts", the statement read.

He joined the Hammers for a club record £20m fee from Stoke in July 2017, and has become one of their best players after a rocky start at the London stadium.

It was believed that West Ham were ready to offer the Catalans giants £20 million for the services of the Spain global, but a source inside the London Stadium poured scorn on that notion.

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini had earlier stated his wish and belief Arnautovic will stay for the rest of the season.

The report details that Wilson is in their sights as a potential replacement and they'd have to pay over £35million for the England internatonal, as he's been earmarked for around the £50million mark.

Until he is no longer a West Ham player, he will give everything to the club.

Arnautovic's brother Danijel, who also acts as his representative, revealed that the player wants to leave and urged West Ham to sell. I don't think they will go.

The Hammers have had a long-term problem with their search for a striker and the latest target may be the man to put an end to it.

"As for Alvaro Morata, I honestly don't know what he does". He's a good stop-gap but he's not going to guarantee you top four.

West Ham's board are not known for releasing the grip on the purse strings too regularly, and given the large outlay prior to the season beginning, the former Manchester City boss may need to deal in free transfers, or use the loan market if he is to make the sufficient additions to his playing personnel this month.
