In yet another case of missing children, a Milwaukee-based bus driver rescued a baby girl, who was found wandering alone on the side of a freeway overpass.

Irena Ivic has seen a lot during her career as a Milwaukee County Transit System driver in Milwaukee, but she was shocked by what she witnessed about 8 a.m. December 22.

The barefoot tot, seen wearing only a red onesie and diaper in the below-freezing temperatures, was scurrying alone along the overpass.

Irena Ivic was driving her regular route on December 22, when she spotted a child running down the street alone, in below-freezing temperatures. Video shows her running across a busy street to scoop up the child.

The boy fell asleep in Ivic's arms, MCTS said.

As Ivic called for help, a passenger gave up her coat to keep the boy warm before police and firefighters arrived.

Ivic said she wouldn't hesitate to help if she were in the same situation again.

Police say the child had been left outside by his mother who may have been suffering from a mental health crisis.
