Bayern are reported to have tabled three bids for the prospect, who is apparently eager to leave the club in search of greater first-team exposure having appeared just once in the Premier League this term.

Chelsea face Newcastle at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and Hudson-Odoi could feature.

He told a press conference today: "As you know very well I am not in control of the transfer market".

"I think that is not professional because they are talking about a player under contract with Chelsea", Sarri said. I don't know anything about the market day by day or minute by minute'.

The Blues have been linked repeatedly for a move with Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain, the Juventus striker who is now on loan at AC Milan.

Sarri said he had recommended to Chelsea that two players be signed, but declined to say their positions.

"Me and Callum are close friends", he said.

"The club knows very well my opinion".

"It's insane to have a market of 30 days in this moment of the season, because we play every three days, so we need rest", Sarri added.

He did say if Alvaro Morata leaves, with loan moves to Sevilla and Atletico Madrid mooted, Chelsea would need a replacement. "My opinion is important for the club, but I can not tell you my opinion".

Chelsea will be without Ruben Loftus-Cheek for the Newcastle game as the midfielder deals with back pain, while Sarri confirmed that Cesc Fabregas would not be considered for selection as he waits to complete a move to Monaco.

Sarri said he was not aware of any approach to Willian, but added: "Of course [I don't want to lose him] because he is really very important".

"At the moment, Morata is here". Lampard has admired Hudson-Odoi's performances from afar and hopes the England Under-19 worldwide is still a Chelsea player when the January transfer window closes.
