'Seinfeld' Star Jerry Stiller, Ben Stiller's Father, Reportedly Rushed to Hospital

Actor and comedian Jerry Stiller, 91, suffered a medical scare on Wednesday night that landed him the in the hospital but is now better and recovering.

The 91-year-old was rushed to hospital in NY over the mystery illness.

But friends of the comic have told reporters that he is OK, and is expected to return home within a couple of days.

"There are no signs of a stroke. He's totally fine", a source told the New York Daily News, adding that his family was with him Wednesday night.


Stiller is known for his roles in The King Of Queens, Zoolander and more.

The Brooklyn-born amusing man is perhaps best known for playing Frank Costanza on the sitcom Seinfeld, from 1993-1998.

Jerry formed a successful comedy duo, Stiller and Meara, with his wife Anna in the 60s and 70s. In The King of Queens, he played another offbeat dad, Arthur Spooner, who was the father of Leah Remini's character Carrie Heffernan.

"Anne's memory lives on in the hearts of daughter Amy, son Ben, her grandchildren, her extended family and friends, and the millions she entertained as an actress, writer and comedienne", her family said in a statement at the time.
