The 88 inch 8K OLED Television screen is the most exciting one among the other LG Display new gadgets.

LG say that "in addition to content source detection, the new processor finely adjusts the tone mapping curve in accordance with ambient conditions to offer optimized screen brightness, leveraging its ability to understand how the human eye perceives images in different lighting". The LG SIGNATURE OLED TV R (model 65R9) redefines the definition of TV with a variable form factor only made possible by the company's industry-leading OLED technology.

According to LG, the 65-inch screen is held it in place with brackets at the base that prevents it from wobbling when upright. The TV's base-the same one it rolls into-houses a 4.2-channel, 100-watt soundbar with Dolby Atmos support.

"What science fiction directors imagined decades ago is now reality", LG senior vice president of marketing David VanderWaal said while introducing the OLED TV R at CES 2019. The South Korean company first showcased a prototype, a rollable OLED TV at last year's CES.

Han promised to expand the production of large OLED displays and develop new markets with differentiated products such as slim, rollable, transparent and crystal sound OLED (CSO) panels.

David VanderWaal, right, LG Electronics USA senior vice president of marketing, and Tim Alessi, senior director of home entertainment product marketing, unveil the company's rollable TV, the LG Signature OLED TV R9, on Monday at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, a day before the beginning of CES 2019. The never-before-seen user experience gives home TV viewers infinite possibilities in designing their ideal viewing space.

All of LG's new OLED televisions, including the roll-up model, will be infused with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa virtual assistant software as well at Apple AirPlay software. It is also adding support for HomeKit and AirPlay 2, which lets you play content from Apple devices on the bigger screen, including music, photos and movies.

Around the back, you'll find HDMI 2.1 ports which will support 4K120 playback once it's available via an update later this year.
