Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the first Manchester United manager ever to win his first six matches in charge, and he now appears to be in pole position to take the role on a permanent basis.

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has admitted Marcus Rashford's goal vs Tottenham came right out of the training ground. He looked better for England than he did for United.

Jesse Lingard had intercepted a pass at the half way line and laid it off for Pogba who passed attractive for Rashford who made no mistake to find the net.

"It's a pleasure to see him again", said Pogba.

Lukaku is yet to start in the league since Mourinho's dismissal and despite scoring three times in his last four matches, his minutes under Solskjaer have been limited to substitute appearances.

"I am enjoying playing football". "I like to be more attacking, I had to defend too much before, and that is not my best attribute". "He's giving me the freedom of going forward, to shoot and to be forward with the three forwards". "This is the real Manchester United". "Hopefully we can see the best of him because he's a top, top player".

"It was a big one for us". The 45-year-old was initially brought in to steady the ship after a tumultuous spell under Mourinho and he has been able to get the best out of Pogba having worked with the World Cup victor when he was reserve team coach at Old Trafford between 2008 and 2010. Matic and Ander Herrera were "fantastic", while Solskjaer spoke of the "blistering pace" of Rashford, Martial and Lingard, before talking up Pogba's qualities.

That is the simple side of the game - making players feel happy and full of belief - but by beating Spurs, Solskjaer showed he can also do the hard part of delivering tactically.
