Toyota Tacoma Unveiled With Mild Styling Updates, More Equipment

However, this model hasn't just been created to go off the beaten path; The TRD Pro Sequoia is more technologically advanced than other models featuring updated equipment with more driver-assist features and complete with Android Auto, Apple Carplay, and Amazon Alexa. The keyless ignition system available on higher trim levels of the Tacoma now features a sensor on the passenger's door in addition to the one on the driver's door. Seat surfaces are covered in "SofTex", a material Toyota says is "lighter than leather yet highly durable", while the front pews have "TRD" lettering stitched onto the headrests.

The 2020 Toyota Rav4 TRD comes with a host of special Toyota Racing Development engineering and design features enhancing its tail-driving capabilities.

The look gets beefed up by way of a big ol' Toyota grille in black, which is standard on every TRD Pro model. A TRD-tuned Fox internal bypass shock suspension is the main tool needed for the task, providing the vehicle with 7 compression zones and 2 rebound zones, as well as an increase in rebound travel of 18 mm. Other Tacomas we've driven have been bouncy but composed, with decent around-town power. The turbo-4 engine in the new Ford Ranger provides better passing power, but the Tacoma's V-6 should be adequate for most users. Now, it's the Tacoma, which is just about to enter its third year in its current iteration. Prices have not been announced.
