And while we certainly don't need a national day to celebrate the simple but flawless wonder that is dough, sauce, cheese, and various toppings, it IS nice to feel like we have a justifiable reason for ordering pizza again.

National Pizza Day, which takes place on Saturday, Feb. 9, isn't any ordinary day: On this food holiday, chains and restaurants are offering sweet deals and freebies for the slice-obsessed. Check out the link to the "Pizza Challenge" on Saturday for the mystery deal.

While it's not a deal cooked up (get it?) for National Pizza Day 2019 itself, Blaze Pizza has a great promotion right now when you order online: two pepperoni pizzas for $10. On February 9th be sure to ask the cashier for the National Pizza Day Offer and you'll be treated to a free upgrade of your large pizza to an extra large.

Domino's is hosting a contest to win up to $500 worth of pizza, and there are more opportunities for people to win $5 or $4 e-gift codes. Some pizza brands want to make sure their customers enjoy National Pizza Day with free pizza.

Blaze Pizza: Get 2 Pepperoni Pizzas for $10 when you order online at participating locations. The quicker you react when the prizes flash up on the screen, the more you win.

A little out of the pizza realm, but IHOP is offering a pizza-sized pancake called a "Pancizza" over the weekend. February 10 from 6-8 p.m. the restaurants will offer $1 pizza slices. All you have to do is enter the code "THANKYOU" to access the deal!

Hungry Howie's: Get a large two-topping pizza for $7.99 with code LG799 (carryout only). Deal is available from February 7-17, carry-out only.

Pilot Flying J: Get a free slice of pizza through February 10th with the Pilot Flying J app.

Round Table Pizza: For every pizza purchased on National Pizza Day, in-store or delivery, Round Table Pizza will donate $1 to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Visit CaulMeMaybe.com to receive the coupon.
