It has been described by the retailer as being the "ultimate meaty delight for Valentine's breakfast in bed".

The supermarket is celebrating love by launching one of the UK's most colourful flowers - the Rainbow Rose.

In the advertisement, M&S has carefully fried eggs in the middle of the Love Sausage, which could be the ideal breakfast in bed on the official day of love.

Marks and Spencer is bringing out sausages in the shape of hearts ahead of February 14th.

The 460g sausage, which is wrapped in "lightly truffled bacon", costs £5 and could feed at least two people.

And who wouldn't be, which the picture showing sumptuous sausage meat and fried eggs, complete with romantic tea lights and petals.

"Any chance you can get me some representation because of this innuendo-filled product?"

A third commented: 'The social media team at @marksandspencer have just won Twitter for the day, give up folks, nothing to see here but some Love Sausage'.

An M&S spokesperson said of the product: "We're encouraging customers to start the fun of Valentine's Day celebrations early with a love sausage for breakfast".

"Gotta say I really don't want that thing anywhere near me", one person wrote.

Further unimpressed comments included, "stay classy M&S" and 'romance isn't dead!'

Since revealing the new shelf addition on Twitter, M&S customers have been fair impressed with the Love Sausage.
