The statement was a reaction to President Buhari's accusation of corruption against the PDP, particularly with regards to the opposition party's campaign expenses.

"In any case, let it be known to President Buhari and the APC that the PDP and the people's candidate will definitely hold our presidential mega rally in Abuja irrespective of any further encumbrance they may attempt to foist".

"If there is any truth to what the PDP has said, it is not APC and it is not our policy", the ruling party said.

In a statement issued on Friday night in Abuja, the party maintained that it was denied the use of the Old Parade Ground, Garki, Abuja in spite of the fact that it had made payments to the authorities and obtained official approval to host its mega rally at the venue.

In a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP said if there is any person whose activities of corruption have become a threat to the coming election, it is President Buhari. In Buhari, we have a man who has integrity, who cares for masses and who has your interest at heart.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sunday took a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that his administration has no moral rectitude to pontificate on corruption.

"When you add these factors to the number of Nigerians that have abandoned the ship of APC, including those who will work for the people's candidate, Atiku Abubakar, from within the Buhari Presidency and inside the APC, you will agree with me that we are coasting to victory and we shall get Nigeria working again".

The South-East Youth Coordinator of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Innocent Ojike, said this on Saturday at a press conference in Awka, the Anambra State capital.

"However, any further attack on our campaign will therefore attract very dire response from Nigerians who look up to Atiku Abubakar to salvage our dear nation from the social, economic and political despondency, which President Buhari has plunged her into".

He said, "The Igbo nation should learn to collaborate with other zones to achieve their aim of producing Nigerian President in 2023".
