"The respect goes two ways towards the world and Europe and I think that's the right approach", Infantino he said".

FIFA President Gianni Infantino says he must balance Europe's wishes with the rest of the soccer world. "It's not always easy".

"I don't know what competitions there will be in two years, four years, ten years but we didn't get any more information that we had in Bogota in March", Ceferin told reporters after UEFA's annual Congress.

Champions League clubs who did not send head coaches to a briefing on video review left UEFA feeling disrespected.

'It is often those who disagree in a measured, reasonable and constructive way, even if they sometimes do so in a direct, uncompromising fashion, who do them the greatest service, help them move forward and prevent them from making mistakes, ' Ceferin said, before suggesting that the future of the game was at stake and calling for Federation Internationale de Football Association to respect the European body. "My answer is no", said Ceferin.

"A leader without doubts", Ceferin said, "is a delusional and unsafe leader".

Reforms to the Champions League which mean the continent's leading four leagues - Spain, England, Germany and Italy - now all get four automatic qualifying spots in the group stage were initially proposed by Platini but brought in under Ceferin's presidency. "I am the president of UEFA, a UEFA that can be proud of its past and confident about the future", said Ceferin. The British are working with Ireland on a possible 2030 World Cup bid.

The RFEF will receive 160,000 euros as a result of being part of the Executive Committee, whilst Davor Suker, Fernando Gomes and Sandor Csandy were all elected to represent Croatia, Portugal and Hungary respectively.
