"I've kept my mouth shut but now you're lying about me", Grande said in a tweet, going on to explain that she felt her "creativity and self-expression was stifled".

Earlier this week, Ariana Grande took to Twitter to publicly refute claims made by Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich about her pulling out of her performance at the ceremony.

Buzz Aldrin, Armstrong's colleague from the mission, also shared NASA's tweet and wondered when he would be featured in one of her songs.

"Sweetener" includes her signature blend of pop and R&B with inflections of hip-hop, all set to the star's wide-ranging, silky-yet-breathy vocals.

It was rumored that Ariana Grande was no longer performing or attending the awards ceremony because it was too late for her to pull something together. "I guess it was a surprise", Erhlich told Rolling Stone during dress rehearsals for the Grammy Awards show.

She also went on to thank those she worked on the music with and people at her label.

The fact of the matter is - and I actually wrote a little thing in the middle of the night that I'm not going to do anything about, but, I mean.

"I don't know if I'm good at anything else, but I understand artists and I can hear other artists in an artist".

"There's a version where I was getting married, there's a version where I'm not getting married, there's a version with nothing - we're not talking about anything", she continued. It was her weekend anyway, as her fifth album, Thank U, Next, dropped and dominated large swaths of social discourse.

But an over-eager fan who just wanted to know if there are any truths to the dating rumours asked: 'Is that a painting of Pete Davidson?'
