EPL: Pogba breaks record with brace against Fulham

Manchester United recorded a 3-0 win over the strugglers at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon to move into fourth place.

Paul Pogba netted a brace against Fulham as Mancheser United moved up to fourth spot, and interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was full of praise for the Frenchman.

Alongside a picture of himself and Martial celebrating, he wrote: "Happy with another win, focus on the next one".

The Italian was happy with the early stages of the game, but says they lost their calm after Pogba's opener, leaving an uphill task.

"When Shaw was at Southampton he was a left-back and I loved watching him bomb up and down the wing, create goals, score goals, so I think I try to emulate that".

Goals from Paul Pogba (2) and Anthony Martial mean Ranieri's Fulham have won just two of their last 13 Premier League games, with their top-flight status in serious doubt. When there was the chance to buy him from Lyon, I said 'take this guy because for me he's good and he can have a very good future'. He isn't acting and he can give joy to everyone and confidence to everyone.

Smalling said of another France worldwide who has enjoyed a welcome return to form over recent weeks: "Especially at the start of the game, we wanted to isolate Anthony against the full-back". I shot, I just tried with my left foot and the ball went in.

"I just focus on trying to put the ball inside the goal".

"We had to stay calm, we lost our composure, we concede the second goal on the counter-attack".

United are back in action on Tuesday when they play host to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 encounter.
