Cristiano Ronaldo's 20th goal for Juventus helped the Italian champions restore an 11-point lead in Serie A with a 3-0 win at Sassuolo on Sunday.

Following on from the match, the Juventus boss praised his side's mentality to bounce back after their 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in the Coppa Italia and their 3-3 draw to Parma.

The 34-year-old celebrated by mimicking Dybala's "mask" goal celebration. Physically we're improving and we've been working really hard in training - you could see that today.

With the game on the rails toward a relatively easy victory, Germany's Emre Can once again put Juventus on the board for the 3-0 on a ideal left-footed cross from Cristiano Ronaldo after a counterattack.

Ronaldo pounced on a poor clearance by Sassuolo keeper Andrea Consigli and started a move that saw his shot from the edge of the box saved before Khedira slotted home the rebound.

Ronaldo had a goal ruled out for offside shortly after halftime but he did get on the scoresheet in the 70th when he headed in a corner.

Former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can scored a late third with his first touch after coming off the bench. But Massimiliano Allegri's side re-established a comfortable advantage with victory at the Mapei Stadium after Napoli drew with Fiorentina on Saturday.

Juve are next in action against relegation-threatened Frosinone on Friday, before their attentions turn to the Champions League and their last-16 first leg fixture away at Atletico Madrid next week.

But city rival AC Milan is just four points behind Inter in fourth after beat struggling Cagliari 3-0, with new signings Lucas Paqueta and Krzysztof Piatek both scoring.

"Scoring for Milan is a dream come true, as it was to play for Milan, but I lived at Flamengo for years and that was my home", Paqueta said.

Argentine Dybala came off the bench seven minutes from time along with Can and was involved in the buildup for the final goal with Ronaldo proving the assist.

Earlier, Atalanta, briefly moved into the Champions League places with a 2-1 win over SPAL - the in-form Duvan Zapata netting their victor with his 18th goal in 12 games.
