Senior Jordan Danberry, who transferred to Mississippi State from Arkansas, averaged just 2.8 points and 9.6 minutes last season for the Bulldogs while playing behind then-seniors Victoria Vivians, Roshunda Johnson, Blair Schaefer and Morgan William.

The game also can be found on Sirius 94, XM 190 and on SiriusXM app 961. Mississippi State won its fifth game in six tries against the Lady Volunteers after failing to beat them the first 36 times. When the two teams faced off on January 22, Mississippi State was 14-3, ranked inside the top-25, and a darkhorse candidate to win the SEC. They are the only team to play in every tournament since it began in 1982. The Bulldogs had a chance for a quality victory against No. 21 LSU at home on Wednesday but blew a game they were leading throughout and fell 92-88 in overtime.

The model knows the Wildcats enter Saturday's showdown having covered the spread in each of their last five games.

MSU held a 38-30 rebounding advantage.

#15/15 MSU took the second meeting in the SEC semifinals that year, taking a 58-48 triumph over the unranked Lady Vols in Jacksonville on March 5, 2016.

After bursting to an 8-0 record and standing 12-1 after opening SEC play with a win at Auburn, a youthful Lady Vols team (7 of 10 active players are freshmen and sophomores) has gone through some growing pains. The Bulldogs won their first regular-season title last season at 16-0 and made a return trip to the Final Four, this time losing a heartbreaker to Notre Dame in the NCAA final.

That game, however, seems to have been a turning point for this team.

Tennessee, now 15-8 and 4-6, was matching State basket for basket and trailing only 51-47 with four minutes to play in the third quarter.

Calipari wasn't happy with the way his team had played during games with early tipoffs this season, so at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, barely four hours before the noon tipoff, he brought his team to Humphrey Coliseum for a shootaround. This year, Danberry is averaging 13.3 points and 26.5 minutes. In a statement, Westbrook said she missed a class. McCowan had her 18th double-double (57th of her career) against Alabama despite attempting only four field goals.

Kushkituah shed a bulky knee brace during the LSU game and finished the day with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Senior forward Cheridene Green has pulled down double-figure totals in rebounds in seven of her past nine contests.

Tennessee received 29 points from Rennia Davis and 13 points from Zaay Green.

This is the second matchup of the season between these two teams.

Tennessee trailed by six at halftime but collapsed late in the third quarter and into the fourth quarter. "I told them going into the fourth quarter we wanted to punch them hard that first five minutes, and, boy, did we ever punch them". Howard added 11 rebounds to claim a double-double on the afternoon. Well, they waited until the fourth quarter to do that here.

Vanderbilt (6-16, 1-8 SEC) was led by redshirt junior Mariella Fasoula who had 16 points, eight rebounds and went a flawless 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Chelsie Hall and Autumn Newby each had 11 for the Commodores.
