Hollywood blockbusters have long inspired the Mumbai-based Hindi film industry. Bollywood's "Dhak Dhak" girl Madhuri Dixit-Nene wished Aamir with the sweetest post possible. Atul approached me with adaptation script later on but I did not take him seriously. The actor had cut the cake with the paps and spoke to the media having a gala time. The Hindi adaptation will be titled Lal Singh Chaddha, which he will co-produce with Viacom18 Motion Pictures. The movie will be shot in Northern areas of the country like Punjab and Himachal. It is an official remake of Forrest Gump. Tom Hanks played the titular role and the film won Oscar Awards for Best Picture, Best Actor in the lead role, Best Director and more at the 67th Academy awards.

Kangana, in an interview, had claimed that she had attended the screening of Aamir's films Dangal and Secret Superstar, but the actor did not return the favour when it came to her movies.
