Apple Music Now Works on Amazon Fire TV

Amazon and Apple on Wednesday announced that Apple's streaming service is now available to Amazon Fire TV users in the US.

Amazon is rolling out expanded support for Apple Music this week. If you have already set up Apple Music to work with your Echo speakers via Alexa, you will not be required to set it up again and Apple Music will seamlessly start working on your Fire TV devices.

It's just been announced that Apple Music will be arriving on these smart speakers in the coming weeks. There's no word on when or if Apple Music will be available on Google Home. Expanding to more non iOS devices is a huge step for Apple to stand up against a growing number of competitors. Rumors that Apple is planning an architecture switch away from Intel chips to its own silicon have been circulating for some time now, but recent reports suggest that Apple's revamping will be widespread, and bring even tighter integration between iPhone, iPad, and the Mac.

Those across the pond have been able to stream music via Apple's subscription service since December. Well, as long as you ask Alexa, of course.
