The Dubliner allegedly smashed a fan's phone in an altercation.

Conor McGregor is facing a civil lawsuit after being charged in South Florida with stealing the cellphone of someone who was trying to take his photo, as reported by AP. Now, a video of the incident has surfaced.

Meanwhile, though the incident is thought to have been captured on surveillance video, the footage won't be made public until "prosecutors give it to the defense, sometime after the arraignment 21 days after the arrest".

McGregor was later arrested on robbery and criminal mischief charges.

You can hear what sounds like a loud stomp and the fan saying, "Let me get my phone man".

The alleged victim, Ahmed Abdirzak of England, were both exiting the Fountainebleu Hotel at around 5:20 a.m. when they met. Abdirzak attempted to take a photo of McGregor with his phone but McGregor allegedly slapped the phone out of Abdirzak's hand to the floor.

Now footage obtained from the scene and released by TMZ would appear to back up those claims.

If convicted of the charges he faces, McGregor could face up to 15 years in prison, as "strong-armed robbery" is a second degree felony carrying a hefty maximum sentence. The incident forced McGregor into a NY area jail overnight.

McGregor is now serving a nine-month suspension from MMA following his involvement in a post-fight brawl that saw a near riot ensue following his UFC 229 loss to UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
