Now Slack too has come up with a dark mode for both the iOS and Android versions of the app.

The March update of the work-centric chat service, Slack, has been announced to include the growing in popularity dark interface feature for iOS and Android.

As noted above, the feature is now limited to just the beta users. To get it now, you have to be part of Slack's beta testing program - which is easily accessible. It's not available to everyone just yet, but it is rolling out to beta testers. To actually join you just need to give your name and email address.

The dark mode toggle is under the main system settings.

Note: The Android app will prompt you to restart the app, whereas the iOS version will automatically switch. It applies to nearly all the parts of the app including pop-ups, headers, and menus. This again isn't anything bad given the various benefits that the dark mode stands for. It will take a few hours to get admitted to the program after signing up. A lot of other apps have made dark mode easy to access especially lately with dark mode becoming a highly-requested feature.

We can't go through every single app for Android and iOS with a dark mode, but those are the main ones.

Easier on the eyes, the dark mode is. One of the reasons is that it conserves the device's battery life.

There are so many tools and features in Slack that can help make you a more productive team member and many ways to maximize the use of the app.

9to5Mac spotted this update on the workplace collaboration app.

You can enable dark mode on Windows 10 by clicking the cog icon on the Start menu, then choosing Personalisation, Colours, and then Dark from the drop-down menu at the top.
