Chinese tech giant Huawei has built its own operating system in case its relationship with the USA sinks to the point it can not use Windows and Android.

"We have prepared our own operating system".

Android and Windows are still the company's first choice.

The ongoing tussle between the USA lawmakers and Huawei deepened when the company sued the United States for banning the major government contractors from using Huawei-developed products. The Huawei chief revealed that the proprietary operating systems are the company's Plan B and will only be put into effect if Huawei is forced to cut business ties with US-based partners like Google and Microsoft.

The company filed a lawsuit against the USA government this month in a bid to overturn a ban on purchasing its technology by federal agencies and government contractors under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Ren Zhengfei, who's also Meng's father, told Canada's CTV that Meng grew restless a month before getting busted in Vancouver at the request of the U.S., wanting to resign and find a new job.

In the US, Huawei would have zero chance without the Android OS.

Huawei has confirmed that it has developed its own operating systems for smartphones and PCs.

Trade secret thefts, violations of economic sanctions, unethical business dealings with Iran through unofficial subsidiary are some of the charges that have been applied by the USA governments against Huawei. "We don't expect to use them, and to be honest, we don't want to use them", the Huawei spokesperson reportedly said. After all, they do make their own smartphone processors.

The US has long accused Huawei of spying at the behest of the Chinese government, but tension between the two has reached new highs since the start of 2018, culminating in the recent arrest of CFO Meng Wanzhou-the daughter of company founder Ren Zhengfei.
