As rain poured down in Manchester on Saturday morning, the United players arrived at the club's training ground in Carrington ahead of departing for Wolves for their evening kick-off in the FA Cup.

Attention has been on Manchester United's Champions League draw with Barcelona for the quarter-finals, but attention now switches to last eight concerns elsewhere for the Red Devils. "If you want to win the Champions League, you must beat anyone".

"I can't really comment on Gareth Bale or specific players because they're property of other clubs but we should look for quality players, definitely, and players who could improve us as a team", said Solskjaer.

"There's so many factors you need to think about when you sign players".

United fans will be boosted to see Jesse Lingard among the stars making the trip, with the midfielder having been ruled out for the last six games with a hamstring injury. We can go all the way, but you've got to be lucky and good along the way.

"Any game you lose is a big anti-climax".

"There's so many things that we need to think about".

"I think we've shown against PSG that on any given day we can beat a top team", said Solskjaer, who has turned United's fortunes around since he took over from the sacked Jose Mourinho in December.

This year is the 20th anniversary of United's treble-winning season, when they won the Premier League and FA Cup as well as the Champions League, with hard moments on the way to all three trophies.

"We have played so much worse and won games and that's the unusual thing when you're a manager you can look behind the result and say that was a good performance but we didn't get what we deserved... it's so odd".
