Tyreek Hill, a star wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, is under investigation over allegations of battery stemming from an incident earlier this week, according to multiple reports. According to Overland Park police, the case was closed three days later when prosecution was declined.

Hill's fiancee, Cyrstal Espinal, is listed under "others involved", according to The Star.

"We're in the process of gathering information and have been in contact with the league and local authorities", the club said in a statement. "The source said that the incident was against the couple's son". Espinal has reportedly been in contact with the Overland Park police about the alleged incident.

The Chiefs said at the time they had vetted Hill and were comfortable with their decision, and they put safeguards that included counseling and other checks they hoped would keep Hill on the right path. "We will have no further comment at this time".

Crystal Espinal told The Star at the February Pro Bowl in Orlando that she is pregnant with twins.

Looks like the Kansas City Chiefs could be on the verge of losing another big name player from their potent offense.

Hill, 25, has a history of violence and abuse. The domestic violence conviction was dismissed and expunged from his record previous year after he completed his probation requirements.

While at Oklahoma State, Hill was convicted of domestic assault for an incident in which he was accused of punching and choking his girlfriend. Hill was also ordered to complete a 52-week batterer's intervention program and an anger management course.

The conviction was dismissed in August and expunged from his record after he finished probation.

After being kicked off of OSU's football team the wide receiver transferred to West Alabama and was drafted in the fifth round by the Chiefs in 2016.
