DC Universe fans, ready to meet Batman - or at least, his public persona?

According to Deadline, Glen will feature as an older version of the famous crime fighter, seeking to reconcile his damaged relationship with his former ward, Dick Grayson - played by Brenton Thwaites.

The Scottish actor, who has played Jorah Mormont on HBO's Thrones since it began in 2011, has signed up to portray Bruce Wayne in live-action streaming series Titans. I say that because even though Batman appeared in season 1's finale, I never thought we'd actually see Bruce Wayne on the series - and I'm not counting his silhouette. "Billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime".

In the first season of Titans, Dick Grayson has a very troubled past with Bruce Wayne. Glen's older, Batman Beyond-esque take on the hero will compete with Esai Morales' version of the villainous Slade Wilson, who will also be a new addition to the cast in Season 2. One thing is for sure and that is Glen's interpretation of Bruce Wayne will definitely be different from recent iterations in terms of age and looks. After that, Iain Glen will be seen as Batman in Titans season two, though no release date for the new season has been announced just yet.

If you haven't watched Titans yet, here are a few reasons it's worth checking out. Included on the team of misfit avengers is the vindictive and cunning alien princess Starfire (Anna Diop), the mysterious empath Raven (Teagan Croft), and the shape-shifting Beast Boy (Ryan Potter).

Titans won't return for a new series until next fall.
