Samsung launches Galaxy A80 with rotating triple camera, ‘intelligent’ battery

Built to drive this evolution, the Galaxy A80 offers compelling innovations: a captivating, full-screen display, Samsung's first revolutionary rotating camera and an intelligent battery. Therefore, all three cameras can be used for both rear and selfie shooting. While it has already outed an array of budget and mid-range phones, a new one has now been launched dubbed as "Galaxy A20e" in Poland. The new Galaxy A80 is quite different in terms of the front camera module. The Samsung Galaxy A80 has managed to score 207,082 points on Antutu, which seems to be on par with the Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is a two-year-old chipset. It showcases all the key features of the smartphone including triple rear camera setup, Samsung Pay integration, 25W fast charging, and on-screen fingerprint sensor.

The rotating feature allows everyone to have experience of six camera lenses, while the phone has just three.

Complimenting the same is an ultra-wide 8 mp sensor of the f2.2 aperture along with a ToF sensor for mapping depth. It features Dolby Atmos and all other connectivity options with sensors including an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy A80's 3D Depth camera offers Live Focus videos by scanning objects for measurement and depth.

Diversifying its midrange smartphones portfolio, South Korean electronics giant on March 26 unveiled the Expected to launch in India on April 10, the smartphone will be the fourth device in the 2019 series of the Galaxy A smartphone series.

The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage with no expandable support via microSD.

The Galaxy A80 also features an intelligent battery which learns your daily routine and app usage patterns to optimize your phone's power consumption. Also, there is no 3.5mm audio jack in the smartphone. Samsung said in February that the Galaxy Fold would cost $1,980, but there's no update from the company about its current price.

The A80 is set to launch on May 29 and it's coming in Phantom Black, Ghost White, and Angel Gold colors.
