Milwaukee went on to win 121-86 to take a 1-0 lead over Detroit.

Drummond was given a flagrant two foul and ejected.

Antetokounmpo struggled at the foul line, making only 5 of 12 attempts, but was 9 for 17 from the field and 1 of 5 from 3-point range. Paul George, who was a game-time decision because of a sore shoulder, added 26 points and 10 rebounds after a slow start.

Luke Kennard paced the Pistons with 21 points off the bench and Drummond had 12 points and 12 rebounds. Bojan Bogdanovic was the lone Pacers starter in double figures with 12 points.

Heading into Fiserv Forum, the Pistons will head into the first clash without star forward Blake Griffin, who is listed as out.

"We're not in the class of where Milwaukee is with their program right now", Casey said. "We have another level we have to get to with our intensity and physicality, because they're coming through there with balance, Euro-stepping, throwing elbows and stuff like this". Their patience has paid off. "But it's a great experience for the young guys to come in and get that experience against a great team like Milwaukee".

Casey said Griffin's status remains day-to-day for the remainder of the series.

Thon Maker started in place of Griffin as he did in the regular-season finale.
