"Probably at this moment they are better than us, but we are going the right way".

"For a month in the Premier League, we knew it would be nearly impossible - possible, but very hard - if we dropped points".

"Good, let's try. Let's try that".

"And if that's enough, then flawless".

Chelsea's clash with Liverpool ended in defeat for Sarri as the Reds jumped to the top of the Premier League once again. If it's not we can not change it.

"We know that they get at least two players back, Pepe and (Hector) Herrera, so they will be an interesting and hard challenge".

"Very smart people say "if you'd won at Leicester you'd be champions" and stuff like this but it's all b*******".

"It's all bulls**t. People and idiots bring something like this up".

"Then we play Cardiff and everybody knows that is a tough place to go".

At one point in the second half, Chelsea failed to convert a unsafe attack sparked by a similar slip from Andy Robertson, and Klopp claimed the incident should draw a line under Gerrard's error.

It did take Liverpool till the second half to break the deadlock but once Sadio Mane scored in the 51st minute it took Mo Salah just two minutes to double the lead with an absolute worldie.

Hazard beat Alisson Becker in a one-on-one only for his shot to rebound off the post before firing a first-time, close-range shot straight at the goalkeeper when he seemed certain to score, with Higuain also missing a chance soon after.

"It blew me away", the Liverpool manager said of Salah's 22nd goal of the campaign.

"We stayed in the match where three months ago we wouldn't have been able to do that".

"Our plan was to arrive in the last 25 minutes at 0-0, because of course they needed to win, and we knew we could find a lot of spaces then", he said.
