Alexis Sanchez has been underperforming ever since he joined Manchester United from Arsenal previous year and it is more or less certain that the forward will be on his way out of the club during the summer transfer window.

Chilean forward Sanchez, who scored 47 times in 141 appearances with Barca between 2011 and 2014, has not featured since picking up a knee injury against Southampton last month, while Matic is recovering from a muscle injury.

United lost 2-0 at home to PSG but secured a dramatic 3-1 win in Paris to set up the quarterfinal against Barca.

"We had (Barcelona) flustered at times here as well".

The former Red feels Manchester United have gone off the boil in recent weeks under Solskjaer and as such, they will not be able to get a win against Manchester City.

Midfielder Nemanja Matic and full-back Matteo Darmian were also part of the 22-man squad heading out to Barcelona on Monday morning but Ander Herrera and Eric Bailly miss out.

Although they warmed up for the game with a goalless draw away to Huesca, Ernesto Valverde rang in the changes for that game.

Marcus Rashford tried restoring parity for the Red Devils nearly immediately after conceding their first goal but his efforts was intercepted by the visitors defenders. "We have to defend well but we need that little bit of extra to score".

Solskjaer has also launched a withering attack on United flop Alexis Sanchez.

But Solskjaer said: "That memory from PSG will help the players".

The Red Devils were criticised by some for their cautious approach to playing Barcelona in the first leg and Solskjaer is hoping for a better performance this time out.

"He's been injured, he's not had a fantastic season so far and let's hope he can end the season great".

It's explained Manchester United fans were constantly booing Coutinho when he was on the pitch and it has "convinced" him not to join them, if he decides to leave the Spanish champions in the summer.

Sanchez is unlikely to start against his former club could be named on the bench.

Similarly United's chance of winning the Champions League this season has reduced to around 1%.
