Mere days after Coachella 2019 - where the specter of Beyoncé's grand performance previous year loomed large - she premiered Homecoming: A Beyoncé Film on Netflix today, as expected.

The live album features the full setlist from Beyoncé's iconic Coachella performance, including tracks like "Crazy in Love", "Formation", "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) and "Drunk in Love".

The revealing documentary gives an intimate look at the music superstar's inner world, and in it she talks about not just the gruelling diet and physical effort that went into pulling off the now-iconic stage production, which featured an homage to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with 200 dancers, backup singers and even a marching band, but also reveals a stunning detail about her private life.

Rumors of a new album called "B7" spread in the hours before the live album's release based on a cover image of an album bearing that title taken from the Genius lyric-decoding website, however that may have been a placeholder built by the website in anticipation of a possible "Homecoming" soundtrack album; a search on "Beyonce B7 Genius" led to the "Homecoming" lyrics on Wednesday morning.

Lavished with praise at the time, the release of the Netflix documentary has seen a second wave of acclaim.

The New York Times described the film - which is nearly 150 minutes long - as consisting of footage "viewers have already seen (and, perhaps, seen again and again) this time through a greater variety of angles and Instagram-like filters".

"Those moments will be enough to satisfy the overzealous Beyhive and probably more casual fans and admirers, too".

The highly-anticipated film presents behind-the-scenes footage and interviews from before, during and after the show.

Sarah V tweeted: "Listening to Blue Ivy signing on Beyoncé Homecoming album she is clearly a young star in the making!"

Fans have reacted with enthusiasm about the documentary on Twitter, with A Wrinkle In Time director Ava DuVernay writing: "Gah! If one were so inclined".
