"Today, Turn 10 Studios is proud to announce Forza Street, an all-new Forza experience created to be played anytime, anywhere, and excite anyone who loves cars", says a statement on Xbox Wire. Microsoft released the first instalment in the game series called Forza Motorsport in 2005, and after more than a decade later, the new Forza street racing game is the company's first free-to-play spin-off in the Forza series franchise.

Rather than the typical driving considerations, here, the experience is meant to be "cinematic".

The game allows players to collect and upgrade iconic cars, from classic to modern sport and retro supercars. You'll have to worry about when to accelerate, brake, and boost, but not much else.

Shorter races will clock in at around one minute, although there's also an "endless story" as well.

Although Forza Street was announced by Turn 10 Studios today, the game is actually a rebranding of the existing title Miami Street, which was released by Microsoft nearly a year ago and has now been significantly updated to include a refreshed narrative, upgraded auto parts, faster boot-ups, new animations, languages and an audio polishing.

We'll let you know as soon as we know exactly when this will launch on Android.

Forza Street is mainly aimed at casual gamers.

I think they can make a stronger case on mobile. We're sure that more will be added over time, though.
