The first teaser for the OnePlus 7 simply teases the performance of the phone, which will apparently be "fast and smooth".

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has shared the first official teaser for the upcoming OnePlus flagship on Twitter.

Now, as per a report by GSMArena, the latest bit of information regarding the OnePlus 7 Pro is that it will come with a QHD+ 90Hz display which will automatically put it head and shoulders above its rivals as well as propel it into the gaming smartphone category and in the process making the UI extremely smooth. However, a tipster has leaked more details of the OnePlus 7 Pro.

The new tagline for this year's OnePlus flagship is "Fast and Smooth". The resolution is also notable, given that no OnePlus phone has gone higher than Full-HD+ before.

According to @OnLeaks, the non-pro OnePlus 7 will have the same dewdrop-style notch at the top of the screen for a front-facing camera as we've already seen on the OnePlus 6T, which launched late past year. OnePlus has announced that a 5G capable handset is also in the works, so we can assume that it will be based on the 7 Pro when announced.

We have a very good idea of what the OnePlus 7 Pro probably looks like at this point and some new case renders have backed up previous leaks, but they also show something that we haven't seen in previous ones - a gradient color scheme.

It adds that the Pro model will also get a higher-capacity 4,000mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge, USB 3.1, stereo speakers, a triple-lens (potentially 48Mp + 20Mp + 5Mp) rear camera and a pop-up selfie camera (potentially 16Mp). Be warned though, the teaser is pretty much a flash, and it has a 5 second reel time. The phone is claimed to come with a Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz.

By all accounts it's the Pro model we've been getting excited about, because the standard OnePlus 7 is not thought to feature the same design improvements as the Pro.

OnePlus 7 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with 95 per cent screen-to-body ratio, powered by Snapdragon 855 processor paired with 6GB of RAM.
