Realme is already the fastest growing smartphone brand in India. He did not share any specifics as to when the company will be launching the device in the country. The Realme X is indeed the company's first push into the mid-range smartphone segment, featuring a bezel-less design, similar to the just launched OnePlus 7 Pro (review).

Unlike the no-notch dispaly of the Realme X, this one comes with a dewdrop notch and offers an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

The Realme X is also equipped with a 3765mAh battery as standard. And much like some of the flagships we've seen this year, it comes with an in-display fingerprint reader. However, the Realme X settles with the last year's Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform featuring Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU.

For photography, Realme X Lite sports a dual-camera setup of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors, and a 25-megapixel pop-up selfie camera.

The smartphone will have upto 128GB of internal storage with support for additional storage up to 256GB. It is available in Nitro Blue and Lightning Purple colors. Realme has achieved this by tucking the selfie camera into a motorized pop-up mechanism behind the display. It features a notch-less 6.53-inch AMOLED display which occupies 91.2% of the surface area on the front and appears to be curved along the edges. The three variants of the smartphone include 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, and 8GB+128GB. The front facer elevates to expose a 16MP shooter, and keeping everything in motion is a 3,765mAh battery with OPPO's VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. Realme says the phone will charge up to 60% in just under an hour even with the screen on. The Realme X Lite is also powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor and features a dual-lens rear camera with a 16MP Sony IMX519 primary sensor and a 25MP selfie camera.

As far as pricing goes, the base 4 GB variant with 64 GB storage has been priced at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs 15,320), the 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage variant at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs 16,342) and the top-end 8 GB RAM variant with 128 GB storage has been priced at CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs 18,386).
