The much-awaited Realme X has finally been unveiled at a launch event in Beijing and I know, most of us have been expecting it to be a flagship smartphone - but it really isn't one.

The flagship device comes with a notch-less display and boats in-display fingerprint sensor. The Realme X, being a slightly premium offering gets pop-up selfie camera, in-display fingerprint scanner and a 48MP rear camera as its main highlights. The front facer elevates to expose a 16MP shooter, and keeping everything in motion is a 3,765mAh battery with OPPO's VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. However, the Realme X will come in two special edition variants called "Onion" and "Garlic".

The Realme X with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at Yuan 1499, the 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage you have to pay Yuan 1499, while 8GB RAM of RAM with 128GB of internal storage will cost Yuan 1799.

Realme X Lite features 6.3-inch Full HD+ display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

On the camera front, the phone sports a AI dual rear camera setup with 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 as primary sensor and 5-megapixel as secondary sensors along with an LED flash.

The phone runs on Color OS 6 on top of Android Pie which offers some good additional features like Hyper Boost 2.0 and improved Game Space for faster performance. The phone is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, and 6GB+128GB RAM and storage. The phone fits comfortably in the palm due to curved back panel and rounded edges. The Garlic edition of Realme X comes in a white colour scheme that has lines running around the back.

Realme X features 6.23-inch no notch super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 (FHD+) pixels resolutions, with 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. The device comes in Nitro Blue and Lightning Purple colors and will be available soon. Now Realme X has been confirmed to launch in India soon. Bokeh effect created by Realme X's software algorithms seems very natural. In China Realme X will be launched with a price tag under Rs. 20000 and in India that's likely to get similar tagged pricing, no doubt.

Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth on his Twitter handle has announced that Realme X is coming to India.
