World of Warcraft Classic will launch worldwide on August 27th, 2019.

From May 15, select players will be invited to a small-scale closed beta, while three larger stress-tests will be running from May through to July. Fans attempted to create realms that supported this but was shut down by Blizzard but now the company has chose to bring the classic version of the game back. That decision followed years of fans doing the same "behind" Blizzard's back, though their attempt to do so was an open secret-one that Blizzard battledaggressively. Now this week, Blizzard has announced that its official recreation of Vanilla WoW is launching in August.

The dev team have provided full details on how you join the WoW Classic beta and what it might take to have a limited run during several server drills.

World of Warcraft Classic lets you play the game as it existed nearly 15 years ago, upon the release of the 1.12 "Drums of War" update. Players will be randomly selected starting today, May 15. The beta servers are now open and taking players in to play the highly-anticipated reboot of "vanilla" WoW. And the good news is that subsequent stress tests will extend the opportunity to even more players.

World of Warcraft Classic takes players back to the beginnings of Blizzard Entertainment's groundbreaking massively multiplayer online role-playing game.

Following its release, WoW Classic will receive updates over multiple phases that will be released in a similar fashion to the original's order and all of this and more will be included with existing World of Warcraft subscriptions at no additional cost.

With there likely going to be a large number of WoW players looking to experience World of Warcraft Classic when its release date and time arrive, individuals interested in taking part will need to make sure to be ready to sign online right when the release date and time for the Classic version arrive. This will happen on Tuesday, August 13 for players with an active subscription or game time on their account.
