A corseted Japanese denim minidress ($810), a cotton canvas blazer belted with a coordinating bumbag ($1,100), oversized sunglasses ($460) and a brass-and-crystal earcuff ($420) will go on sale at a pop-up boutique in the Marais district of Paris on Wednesday evening, when Rihanna launches her luxury fashion house, Fenty.

On a rumored Lady Gaga collaboration: "Maybe because she followed me on Instagram". It's because of what I have to offer.

"This is a moment in history", Rihanna, 31, said at a preview of the store in a white structure tuxedo dress.

The first drop of product from Fenty will arrive online on May 29, with a pop-up in Paris slated for May 24.

Known for her bold fashion statements at red carpet events, Rihanna is followed nearly as much for her style as her music, and had already worked with other labels including sportswear brand Puma on collections under the Fenty name.

Taking a modern approach to fashion, Fenty will not be part of the traditional fashion calendar, nor will it hold runway shows.

Rihanna - who's real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty - went on: 'I've been slowly evolving throughout the fashion world. Rihanna also created co-ord sets in Japanese denim and coral pink, a t-shirt dress, crisp white button down shirts, khaki pants, and a slew of accessories and shoes.

On collaborating with Drake: "Not anytime soon, I don't see it happening".

Rihanna already has a range of lines to her name. "Not on this album, that's for sure", the singer said.

It comes after Rihanna casually revealed that she's been living in London for a year, telling The New York Times that she's been "keeping a little incognito" while staying in the capital and is enjoying the relative anonymity the city brings. Along with Louis Vuitton, LVMH includes a number of high fashion houses, including Fendi, Christian Dior, Givenchy, and Marc Jacobs among others.
