Luigi's Mansion 3 gets new E3 2019 gameplay trailer

Luigi's Mansion 3 is scheduled to launch in 2019. Rather than choosing a game mode, players will play through a set number of floors (the host chooses how many) and will need to work together to complete the objective for that floor.

The rest of the game is full of improvements over the first two, as Luigi can now jump using the Poltergust with a Burst function.

Those pulled toward the morbid side of things will be pleased to hear that Luigi's Mansion 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch by the end of 2019. The series gives Luigi his rightful time in the spotlight as he deals with the terrifying, real-world problems his famous brother just doesn't have the guts to handle: ghosts, and lots of them.

To that end, Luigi's Mansion 3 will also feature online co-op modes with multiple Luigis.

Fighting and capturing the ghosts to free them, Luigi is now equipped with the Poltergust G-00.

Luigi is back and as scared as ever in the preview of his latest haunted installment.

Gooigi's slippery frame means that he can cross spikes and navigate obstacles that would otherwise damage Luigi. Walk through water, though, and Gooigi dissolves. Players will be able to enjoy this either through local play or through online. There's even a new "Suction Shot" added to the game, which allows Luigi to shoot plungers-on-a-rope with his vacuum, allowing him to disarm more defensive-minded ghosts of their objects.

Professor E. Gadd makes a return, as does Gooigi, Luigi's aptly named goopy doppelganger from the 3DS remake of the original game. Since the New Mario Maker 2 game doesn't feature amiibo support, it's also possible that this game won't either.
