Sources have told ESPN FC that, while new Nerazzurri boss Conte is interested in making Lukaku his first signing at San Siro, there has not yet been any contact between the two parties.

Lukaku nearly re-joined Conte's Chelsea in 2017 and now could play for the Italian at Inter.

- When does the new Premier League season start? Lukaku is on €11m-a-year - though that will be slashed this year by 25 per cent after failing to secure Champions League qualification.

After scoring for Belgium against Scotland in a Euro qualifier, Lukaku revealed that he will speak to United about a potential transfer away from Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old has spoken of his love for Serie A and with the likes of AC Milan and Inter Milan getting their acts together in recent seasons, he could end up in Italy.

He added: "With the transfer of [Cristiano] Ronaldo, I think the Italian league is now coming back".

'Now Antonio Conte going back to Inter, which is really good because, to me, he's the best manager in the world.

"And then you have Maurizio Sarri going to Juventus and [Carlo] Ancelotti at Napoli".

"He [Conte] knows what I think about him", the former Anderlecht star explained.

"I have a contract with Man United", he said regarding his future. If something happens, you know, I think the teams and my agents have to do the talking.

"I've already taken a decision about the future".

United are prepared to listen to offers for the Belgium global but want to recoup the transfer fee they paid Everton in the summer of 2017.

According to Metro report, the Belgian forward, who lost his starting spot to Marcus Rashford after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho has been informed he's surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
