"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. 'I think we have a very real risk of losing the Presidency to Donald Trump.' I agree, and that is the only reason they play the impeach card, which can not be legally used!" he tweeted on Sunday.

Ocasio-Cortez also discussed the "justifiable" pressure from some Democrats to move forward with an impeachment investigation against Trump, which she felt had only increased after Trump's recent comments about foreign dirt on his opponents.

During an interview on ABC News' "This Week", Ocasio-Cortez said, "If [Bezos] being a billionaire is predicated on paying people starvation wages and stripping them of their ability to access health care. and on the fact that his workers take food stamps, so I'm paying for him to be a billionaire, I think that's certainly part of the equation".

"What we want to do is have a methodical approach to the path that we are on... but not any one issue is going to trigger, 'Oh, now we'll go do [impeachment].' Because it's about investigating, it's about litigating, it's about getting the truth to hold everyone accountable and no one is above the law", she said, ABC News reported.

Ocasio-Cortez has been at odds with Amazon for months after she helped to thwart Amazon's plans to build part of its HQ2 in Long Island City. Ironically, Amazon raised its minimum wage to $15 per hour previous year in response to a steady drumbeat of criticism from Sen.

However, Ocasio-Cortez said if Biden does become the nominee, she would back him in the general election. I think about the outcomes I want for those folks.

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) listens during a House Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Subcommittee hearing on confronting white supremacy at the U.S. Capitol on May 15, 2019 in Washington, DC.

Though the House of Representatives could impeach Trump, he would be tried by the Republican-held Senate, making conviction unlikely.

"I feel serious and strategic about the prospect of impeachment". "I think that with the president now saying that he is willing to break the law to win reelection, that transcends partisanship".
