Best, cleanest and top affordable airlines in the world for 2019 revealed

"Best Airline Staff in Australia Pacific" recognises the combined airline staff service for both onboard and ground staff, in the Australia Pacific region through passenger feedback and Skytrax evaluation.

The annual Skytrax World Airline awards crowned Middle Eastern airline, Qatar Airways, the best in the world, knocking last year's victor, Singapore Airlines, into second place.

"It is a proud moment for the airline as our constant innovation and service standards set the benchmark in our industry".

Initiated by UK-based consultancy and airline and airport reviewer Skytrax, the annual event is often referred to as the "Oscars in the world of aviation". The carrier also picked up awards for World's Best Business Class and Best Airline in the Middle East.

The Singapore carrier fell back to second place after coming in tops previous year for its "consistent" product and service standards.

Only one European airline - Lufthansa - made the top 10, while the highest rated North American carrier was Air Canada, in 31st.

He further disclosed that the company also won "Best Business Class in Africa" as well as "Best Economy Class in Africa" at the award ceremony.

"We offer excellent connectivity with one of the best travel experiences that helped us become the best airline in Africa and one of the front-runners in the world".

Japan's ANA All Nippon Airways came in third with Cathay Pacific and Emirates coming in fourth and fifth respectively.

"The fact that the Skytrax awards are voted for by travellers makes them especially meaningful for all of us in the industry", Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said in a statement.

Ryanair was revealed to be the third worst low-priced airline in the findings.
