Friends is leaving Netflix for good in 2020

The upcoming media-service provider which will launch in spring next year will be loaded with some 10,000 hours of content, including all episodes of 90s, hit "Friends", acting as a competition to Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus.

The most-viewed Netflix show was workplace comedy "The Office", which will switch from Netflix to a planned digital offering from Comcast Corp's NBCUniversal in 2021.

HBO Max has not announced a launch date or price point yet and have also not given further details on how it will differ from HBO Go, though Washington Post reported last month that it could be around $16-$17 monthly and come as a bundle package with Cinemax.

Robert Greenblatt, chairman, WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-To-Consumer said in a statement: "HBO Max will bring together the diverse riches of WarnerMedia to create programming and user experiences not seen before in a streaming platform". The Flight Attendant: a one-hour thriller series based on the novel by Chris Bohjalian, which will star Kaley Cuoco, who is also executive producing alongside Greg Berlanti.
