Marijuana-themed cake designer fired over mix-up

If you're cringing just thinking about how sad your kid would be if their birthday cake got this messed up, you may feel better knowing Kensli is 25 years old.

What she got was not quite as family-friendly as she had envisioned.

In a case of mis-cake-en identity, a woman in Georgia was ordering a birthday cake for her daughter, Kensli Taylor Davis, who wanted it decorated like Disney's 2016 animated epic.

A woman who made a marijuana-themed birthday cake instead of a Moana cake said she's been fired from her job at Dairy Queen. (Because really I do) Well needless to say these people thought she said marijuana.

Walker, a mother-of-two, told USA TODAY that she questioned the order, which her manager took down from the customer, but was told to make the cake.

The cake couldn't be further from the innocent Disney movie, as it features a large marijuana leaf and a visibly stoned "My Little Pony" character blowing smoke and sporting some pretty bloodshot eyes. It went viral with more than 13,000 shares.

Walker said Dairy Queen fired her for the mistake on Monday, which was her birthday.

Walker told the paper she worked at the Dairy Queen for almost a year. The NBA senior writer talked to me about her process and how she goes about getting scoops. Dairy Queen, the shop employee heard "marijuana" instead.

Davis' mom says workers were apologetic and offered to make another cake.

Dairy Queen co-owner Al Autry acknowledged the mix-up in a statement to USA Today but did not confirm or deny Walker's termination.

Davis took to social media last Tuesday to express the hilarity of the situation.

Davis did not respond to a Facebook message from USA Today seeking comment.

"Just send me on leave, write me up, any of those things, I would have been OK with those things". "She walked by as I decorated the cake". I would have accepted that. "When the customer picked it up and said it was not what she ordered, we immediately apologized for the error and offered to redesign it the way she originally intended".
