Stephanie Niznik Dead - 'Everwood' Actress Die at 52 | RIP, Stephanie Niznik

Niznik died unexpectedly in Encino, California on June 23.

She's best known for playing Nina Feeney, the neighbor of the Brown family, on the drama series "Everwood" from 2002 - 2006.

Before landing a recurrent position with Diagnosis Murder, she also appeared on shows like Nash Bridges and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. She also had a recurring role on "Life is Wild" and guested on "Lost", "NCIS" and "CSI: Miami". The report that Variety gave out does not include cause of death, nor does it explain why her passing wasn't reported until over two weeks after her time of death. Stephanie Niznik returned to the Star Trek franchise.

Originally in Bangor, Maine, Niznik meant to work as a geneticist before graduating in theater and Russian from the Duke University. Steph's final feature film was in 2009's The Twenty where she played the role of Dot.

She appeared onstage along with her costars, including Treat Williams, Gregory Smith, Emily VanCamp, Tom Amandes, Debra Mooney, Vivien Cardone, John Beasley and Justin Baldoni, according to Entertainment Tonight.


In the backdoor pilot special for the Private Practice series, Niznik also played prominently at ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy. Stephanie additionally pursued masters at Cal Arts.

She was an active volunteer in hunger, children, and animal rescue organization.

She began acting in some series including "Vanishing Son" and "Murder She Wrote".

Stephanie Niznik was 52 years old when she died.

Stephanie Niznik is survived by her mother, brother and stepfather, and her dogs Nucleus and Jake.
